The CDs had my contact info on it and eventually I got one in the hands of the right person and that was that.

The 2nd method that worked was to take the big list of labels that is in a word doc I found off trance.nu and to go down the list and pick labels that sign the type of music you make. I would take 6 CDs at a time to the post office and drop them all to these labels. If I didn't hear anything back after a few weeks, I'd keep going down the list. This eventually paid off and I got signed.

Be persistant but very patient. Best of luck!

This was a great reply cheers, just couple questions..
How many songs did u put on the cds?
Were they mixed or single tracks (because some dj's cud just play ur stuff if there single tracks and u dont get anything out of it)

How does it work, do u get signed and the money is comission based depending how many you sell?

i know im jumping the gun but its probaly more curiosity than thinking im gonna get signed!

Cheers.

There were 2 or 3 tracks usually on the CD, single individual tracks. They would most likely toss it in the trash if it were not the full, unmixed versions.

Depending on the label, money is either commission based, a sum of money is received upfront, or a combination of the two. Every label is different.
