English Rachel so, if you have one drink, are responsible, and wait over an hour, and go out and drive, that is too much? Yikes. If alcohol was such a strong substance, then it should not even be allowed for sale! The majority of people can drink responsibly.
I will most certainly be contacting, and harassing my MPP to vote this down. I'm not under 21, hell, I do not even drive, but this law would just be embarrassing.
I love the stipulation that a driver should not have more than one passenger in their car, UNLESS they are brothers and sisters. If the law is to prevent dangerous driving, by limiting human contact in the car, then what difference does the relation to the driver make? A body, is a body. A distraction is a distraction.
Kids in the burbs car pool to school/work. In high school, I got rides to and from school all the time. Are they trying to limit car pooling? Just insane.

I don't see how this is any different from being a designated driver on a given night?

| quote: | | Until recently, Premier Dalton McGuinty rejected calls to ban young drivers from drinking alcohol, suggesting it was something better left to parents than to a provincial law. He changed his mind after lobbying by the father of one of three young men killed in an accident last summer. |
Mcguinty had it right the first time. I guess this is why they call him Flip Flop McFly. Sad to see that a politician can cave so easily to special interests
