I think they just need to figure out another way to enforce this rule.

Some kids get their G not even before they turn 18...

English Rachel so, if you have one drink, are responsible, and wait over an hour, and go out and drive, that is too much? Yikes. If alcohol was such a strong substance, then it should not even be allowed for sale! The majority of people can drink responsibly.

I will most certainly be contacting, and harassing my MPP to vote this down. I'm not under 21, hell, I do not even drive, but this law would just be embarrassing.

I love the stipulation that a driver should not have more than one passenger in their car, UNLESS they are brothers and sisters. If the law is to prevent dangerous driving, by limiting human contact in the car, then what difference does the relation to the driver make? A body, is a body. A distraction is a distraction.

Kids in the burbs car pool to school/work. In high school, I got rides to and from school all the time. Are they trying to limit car pooling? Just insane.

You just killed the restaurant industry, a cup of wine or a beer with your food would be too much, you won't be able to drive back home...

It's crazy and would damage an already fragile industry.

^^ it's not even giving people credit. As if the majority of people are having one drink, and going out playing bumper cars.

there was a proposal of a law to bring the level from 0.08 to 0.05 and it was shot down instantly over here... it's just ridiculous that people can't live a bit anymore.

I don't see how this is any different from being a designated driver on a given night?

Why don't we just ban every blonde from driving, in attempt to prevent text messaging related accidents

Until recently, Premier Dalton McGuinty rejected calls to ban young drivers from drinking alcohol, suggesting it was something better left to parents than to a provincial law. He changed his mind after lobbying by the father of one of three young men killed in an accident last summer.

Mcguinty had it right the first time. I guess this is why they call him Flip Flop McFly. Sad to see that a politician can cave so easily to special interests

I can understand the zero tolerance idea (I don't agree with it though) but, I don't understand how you can limit to those under 21. Its either zero tolerance for all or for none.

There are several states that won't let you have passengers unless they are family for the first 6 months or so of having your licence. I think its stupid but its not a new concept.
