Beatport (and there are a lot of ways to keep up using Beatport), live sets/promo mixes/podcasts, charts, the new releases sub forum, radio broadcasts, and mix compilations.

So yeah, pretty much everything everyone else said.

Even then, it's a challenge to stay on top of things, especially if you're trying to divide up your time between new releases and browsing the much larger back catalogue selections for all the gems you may have missed months/years ago.

downloading a lot of random shit by artists I've never heard of

trying to listen to as many mixed comps as I can because if I like it I will almost always support the artists and buy singles from it
