It has a lot more of a dub/dubstep, nu-reggae feel to it, no ?

Although his two last EPs on Cynosure and Wagon Repair do belong to the more classical meaning of techno.

So, OP, you might want to check those two if you want sounds closer to techno.

Well from what I heard I concluded he is a techno producer, since half of the stuff on Roots And Wire, and all 3 EPs he released this year are techno (dub and dubstep influenced techno is still techno). However, the main reason I mentioned techno is because I feel techno is his weakest point. For example, I think Night Stepping and Incinerate are stronger than pretty much every techno track he released this year (except for Mecca maybe). I just feel that there's so much good dub techno released at the moment, and his stuff rarely stands out.

His remix of Monolake Plumbicon is really cool. Even my gf likes it. I dont like any of the tracks on Versionist EP ...its so herky jerky. Might sound cool for home listening but I can't picture a dancefloor tolerating it very well. Its such a hodge podge of fucking random sounds I can't see why anyone would want it.

I agree Roots and Wire is overhyped. Mecca Drum Jack is where its at IMO.
