So i picked up the HD25-1 II not too long ago. $150 after my discount wasnt too bad. i wanted to try them out after using my 7506 for so long, but now i have a reason because my gf took them for 2 months for thailand . Im listening to a few tracks while i break them in and man the bass is deeeeeeep. It hurts my ears after a bit of listening though, but i do wear glasses. It clamps onto your head pretty tightly so it might get rough if shes mixing for a long period of time. These phones sound great, but 7506 is definitely better for DJing. 7506 are much more comfortable and are a lot easier to carry around. It looks like im going to be keeping these hd25s for the house and the 7506 for the road.

I know the sportscasters (and probably other broadcast heads) on NBC use the HD25's. I'm sure you could compare the sizes of their heads.

They all seem to fit pretty well regardless.

they just arrived today, and look very nice indeed. They seem to be even smaller than the older model Technics that we use now. Thanks for all the help guys.

Been using them for awhile now and man they sound awesome after breaking them in. I still think that these would be better for production rather than mixing though. 7506!

I got into a long argument with my friend about 7506 and the technics. But then again, my friend is a technics/rane whore.

You think the 25's are better for production or the 7506's?

25s for production and 7506 for mixing. I like the 25s deep bass, but the brightness of the 7506 make it really easy to beatmatch and the like.

Yes, they get very comfortable after a while. I've had mine for around 3 years now
