you didnt get my point. Lets invest in basic infrastructure during a recession/depression and save the fun stuff for better times. Obviously roads are basic infrastructure. As are new transit lines or repairing existing ones.

They've had this in guelph for quite a while now, it makes the bus system alot more convenient.

edit: Ah i thought it was just a online tracking system, they havent got the panels in Guelph although it was supposed to happen

Is it just me or does something about the left panel seem like a giant iPhone menu

it's not like they went out to futureshop and bought a bunch of LCDs and installed them over the weekend.

this stuff was budgeted for and is now getting installed. this is just the initial stage of stuff that has been going on behind the scene for many months now.

There is always the possibility of suspending the contract, unless they were dumb enough to build in exorbitant penalties into the contract.

Hasnt the city been broke since miller took office? Why are they doing this?

Speaking of the TTC spending money.. I heard on the news that they are planning on installing cell phone service in the subway tunnels

I would assume that the phone companies would be doing that, not the ttc. Or they would be making sweet coin off that. Either way it shouldnt cost the taxpayer so thumbs up!
