I don't think they should be punished THAT severely - some people are just naturally crafty.. I know it's unfair (I personally paid $60K+ for my 4 years in York as an international student), but ce la vie..
you guys would shocked if you lived in Russia or any other post-Soviet country.. people buy degress/driver's licenses/PhD degrees left and right like there's no tomorrow

Nope, but we are shocked that it is happening here. That is part of the reason people live here, and trust the people who live here. We have standards that are verified. Same shit happens in India, that is why post-secondary education is useless some developing countries.



Let's keep the phony degrees in developing countries, and keep our standards high. Throw the bums in jail, and make a simple little website stating who has bought one of these certificates.

if 'professionals' would go through the trouble of verifying authenticity

they COULD NOT forge ANYTHING

if the people who should be doing it don't do it
