"used by Orbital." For the price i am sure it will be a fun little thing, and if you don't like it sell it, simple really.

when artists say they use something, it usually means they own one. I really doubt that it was significant in their signature sound. Spending money on something a 200$ softsynth can do a hundred times better is what I would call a bad decision.

Like going to thailand and being offered sex for 2$.Sure the price sounds right but you soon find out the person offering it is probably 8 and male, unless that is what you are into. I guess what i'm saying is that this device will make you a pedophile.

I own this synth, got it as one of my first synths. Its not that bad at all, it doesn't have a huge sonic palette but, it can do some nice basslines and bleeps and some other neat sounds. One thing that I love about this synth, (once u get used to it) is the built in sequencer, its a breeze, works like a TR909 sequencer, aside from the note changing. I find it to be loads of fun.

Usually I have it in bed with me, with a pair of headphones before I fall asleep, and create melody's. Then bring it in the studio and record into DAW, then run in Melodyne to get a midi file from it. May seem like alot of work for not much, but, once I got used to it, I'm pretty fast at it now.

If you never owned a hardware synth, I would say for that price, sure try it out, unless you find it cheaper elsewhere like ebay .

Not necessarily, how many "professional studios" out there are simply logic with a nice set of monitors and possibly one hardware synth?

Quite a few, from what i have seen.
