Well, I cracked my Hardrock frame and the bike shop are giving me a Rockhopper as a replacement. I had a 2003 Hardrock Comp, which was two models above the base version (base -> sport -> comp -> comp disc -> pro), but still had v-brakes. Since I have to replace the rear wheel and get a disc on the back of the new Rockhopper, I thought it would be a good time to upgrade some of the other components. However, now I am thinking I might just buy cheaper Shimano gear, sell it and then build myself a brand new pushy!
In 03, I bought my Hardrock Comp for $750AUD. The specs are below:

It now has the frame off a 2008 Rockhopper, which range in price from $999AUD to $1,800AUD.
How much do you think I could ask for my bike? I figure at least $400 would be reasonable?
