glitch-hop peaked a couple of years ago

haha, I remember philby posting something like "you've got to be kidding me!, what the fuck is glitch-hop" when it was last mentioned.

lulz.

I hope more lo-fi/8 bit stuff becomes more prominent this year!

Otherwise, the new Animal Collective album is pure sonic perfection, and I don't think it will be topped in terms of musical production this year.

Set to peak again imo.
All of this new wave glitch-hop that's coming out (Flying Lotus, Deadelus, edIT, etc) is off the hook! Alot of the newer sounding stuff has only really just started to make an impact on the scene, which is really good to see, cause its some hot shit! Bring on more i say

Did you see Flying Lotus on new years day? He played some gig with a few others from the Hot BBQ lineup that didnt go to Summadayze.

He's playing here on friday night, but my brother has decided to have his engagement party that night! :/

I've got some of Daedelus' stuff, he'll be out for Laneway festival (with Four Tet omgz), so I may catch him live there.

These artists are not quite as glitchy as the Prefuse 73 stuff, which I consider the definitive glitch-hop, but its all good music!

On a slightly related note, check out "Oh No" - Madlib's little bro, he produces some damn fine beats! Also Ratatat for something different..

[obligatory whinge] Fuck, who would listen to trance with the plethora of fine music around today ey? [/obligatory whinge]

Yeps, went to see FlyLo on NYD and fuck me, he blew the roof off the place! Seriously smashed it sideways!! He is going to be SO huge
Defs try and make the effort to catch him - you wont be disapointed.
