The track selection is very good but the songs could use some switching around. I enjoy the set myself though overall

Beat matching is great, also level matching is great as well. Your transitions are long which is good. Tracks would have gone better in a different order, and some are a little off key. Overall good mix!

As already said the beatmatching is good, as is the level matching, but have to be honest and say I got bored after the first 3 mixes.
You are doing what I term "end to end" mixing, which means you're mixing the track you're dropping in too early, and the one you're taking out too late, so you're not having much happening during the mix.
Listen to some of the really good pros, the aim should be that when you come out of track A as soon as the final snare plays after the 2nd rift you track B is ready with the first melody.
I don't profess to be any good myself but I've got a mix on live 365 I post weekly, have a listen and get some ideas (see thread earlier posted by me).
Also, you could try being a bit more inventive with the mixing, as I didn't listen to the entire mix I may be wrong. You could play with the x-fade during the mix, use levels, FX and filters where possible.
Also it may be worth sacrificing beat matching for creativity. No one want's to hear something that could have been generated by a computer.

thanks for listening! i'll bear what you said in mind in future. i've been thinking that being a bit more creative is what i should be doing next. i thought i better learn to beatmatch finely and quickly first because no-one really wants to hear a horserace even if it is creative!! what do you mean by playing with the x-fader? how can i make my mixing more creative?

By "playing with the cross fader", I mean don't just smoothly bring the x-fade across when you've matched the beats.
Instead drop the beats in for 4 or even 2 beats, whip them out, and back again after taking them out for 4 beats. This only works with certain tracks, check it out and see what sounds good.
Plus I'm about the only person I know who does spinbacks with trance, you have to get the mix right for it to sound good. But when it does, my God is it different. Other than Judge Jules in his v.early days never heard anyone else do this.
Have you got filters on your decks? You should really try using these.
Also are you at the sort of level where you can match the beat during a rift/silent patch in the record currently playing. If so you can drop the beat in v.quietly and build the gain up, so that when the track drops from rift to beat, you've got another track building. Another of my specialities.

Becareful though, always keep to the rule when mixing trance, and that is DO NOT EVER CLASH THE MELODIES, sounds terrible. And whoever mixed the trance addict mix this week has done this, might have been the eternal trance one I'm not sure. Tell me if I'm talking rubbish.
