That was a fun night. I arrived kinda late so I only got to catch the last part of Cody's set then Zak's - good stuff. Nice vibe. The sound systems blows.

Part of it is the fact the monitor is very much dying in that venue, which means... amongst other things... it was shorting and sounding flat. Why I really don't use the monitor much when I mix. However, I will say for the size of the venue, it fills the room well, but its not going to be a high end sound system because its a 100 person venue.

One of these days you'll have to say Hi man... lol... I was the guy on the mic talking about the DJs and what not at those little points.

The quality of the sound systems in many of SD's smaller venues is just horrible. Bar D, Basic, Airport, AC Lounge, Red Circle, Kadan's are just a few places that come to mind. It's a shame too, because the poor sound really takes away from the overall enjoyment factor.
