Haha so true. I think most people should learn how to beatmatch before they go digital. Understand the track composition and where to drop in tracks and which key is correct to hit the next song. Everything requires practice.

Knowing your tracks is the best thing to do to learn how to DJ.

But its true, if you can remix live and play around with everything who cares if you cant beatmatch besides other DJs?

If you're a beginner like the OP is, might as well learn the right way.

I doubt anyone here is at the level where they can be complacent enough that they don't have to worry about beatmatching perfectly and can simply layer 4 tracks playing at the same time like it's no big deal.
