I have had experiences where it's not hot, and it doesn't taste good, or both. Don't get me wrong, I've also had some great winterlicious meals...but unless you're going to a top top restaurant that you've specifically heard can do it right, then you stand to be disappointed. Many newer, smaller places that need winterlicious as a means of promotion are not used to handling the volume. I've had a few meals at both summer and winter licious' and it is so blatantly obvious that the staff had no idea what they were signing up for. When you end up spending a fair bit anyways (because who goes out for a nice dinner and doesn't order a bottle of wine with it) it is frustrating to not get the best service.
Last year I had a great experience at Opal Jazz on Queen but I believe it's closed now. |
Im letting my friend take care of it all but thanks for the info I will tell him tonight. This will be my first winterlicious and im not going in expecting the world but i hope I get it . I love coming to toronto so even if the food isnt that good I will still have a great day in a city I love.
