well guys, is natural all of you tend to lead some pathetic topics like this to jokes, because me too..
But it's not so pathetic.. What I really wanted to say is if there is some kind of variation in trance music such as: Uplifting, Progressive, Epic and maybe UKish...
But for now I agree with Eldritch, really sounds like Anjuna things..
This topic seems strange to me.
Variations in music styles is, for the most part, identified in their global chord use, chord progression tendencies, and cadences. Sometimes the manner of use of a particular element. Sometimes drums.
But pigeonholing a synth texture or synth patch to particular genres seems pretty arbitrary to me.
Maybe if I heard the patches I'd change my mind.

That's not always how it works with dance music. Some genres are pretty much defined by their use of certain synth textures or "sounds" -- acid house, for example.

Back before digital labels, mp3 etc you had to release songs mainly through a label, these labels tended to have a different sound to each other based on where they came from.
You def had a diff style of trance if it was UK, dutch, german or italian label.

Very good point.
Internet is killing "local sounds."

hey MOK sure, variation is a word mostly used for musical structures...
I meant sub-genre... My English is yet confused because I'm not from USA or UK sorry...

No.
I've heard those presets he's talking about. I think they're on the Virus vengeance banks and they're definately Anjuna type sounds.
Yes, they are definitely reminiscent of the Anjuna-sound. You can also find patches with the same name on the Nucleus Soundlab Virology soundbank, which are pretty good in my opinion as well.

My theory is that if it doesnt have Dutch in the patch name then dont touch it!
