Yes I've contacted 4 agents directly and have tried the private route. In fact, I just came from the LCBO at summerhill, it seems literally impossible to persuade a supplier to ship 1 bottle alone--due to laboratory testing costs--so I've been advised to contact the distillery directly. Since I sure as hell cannot afford to pay for a entire box of vintage Glenlivet.

yeah the 190 is tricky to get, it's illegal in a lot of states including Michigan where I make frequent trips for liquor...among other things.

I'm with you on that. Love a nice Islay or Lowland myself. Port Ellen, Ardbeg, Inverleven... The Glenlivets I've tried just haven't floated my boat, but to each their own of course.
