Believe me I wanted to, I took all the computer stuff I could, they took the CDs and DVDs, I was sitting there trying to figure out how to put the whole store into that bag, but we couldn't really super market sweep the store because it was extremely busy and we weren't prepared for this, we got an impromptu phone call. I'm probably going to go back and get some more high dollar stuff and ebay it or something.

make sure you guys do research on the product, as in compare prices elsewhere first
when companies do fire-sales like this, they normally jack up the prices so that when 75% off is applied you are basically paying the same thing
when companies liquidate they hire an outside company to come in and manage the "project" its not actually done by circuit city, and they are looking to get them as much money as possible...
I went to the Circuit City on Rt46 by Lace on Saturday around noon. The parking lot was FULL. More people than I've seen at that store. There was some schmuck standing by the side of the highway holding a sign saying going out of business. I saw like 5 flatscreens being wheeled out just as I was looking for a parking spot So I'm thinking great, all the good shit must be gone, this stuff must be dirt cheap.
I get inside and start walking around and I'm thinking to myself "WTF!?", these prices are not reduced at all. I'm a pretty well informed buyer when it comes to most things as I do a shit ton of research on reviews and pricing before I buy most things a couple hundred dollars or more. But yeah, I didn't look much beyond the TV's because that's what I was interested in purchasing but their prices weren't reduced at all.
they brought in an outside liquidator and that's pretty much what they did, I think they worked off of MSRP and applied a sale to THAT price, which basically equates to nothing. But if you put up a sign saying "liquidation sale" the uninformed buyer comes rushing in thinking they are getting a deal without realizing they could buy the same TV they just got for $1500 on "SALE" at Circuit City for $1000 at some other place that's not even running a sale on it, LOL. By the time they actually start reducing prices to something below their normal prices, it'll probably be on whatever junk is leftover that nobody bought at full price already.
