Terrible news. I'm stumped as to how the doctors could have misdignosed such a common ailment. Let's all put our hands together and pray that this family can get back on their feet after all this.

i still can't get over how sad this story is..

poor girl get's chopped up in pieces and then dies because of the doctor's misdiagnosis.

Am I reading this right? She let a UTI go unchecked for so long it killed her??

I know this is sad, but...there are far worse things happening in the world than someone who dies because she doesn't go to a doctor when she starts pissing razor blades. You get that shit fixed right away.

my dad said the same thing yesterday but the doctors were supposed to see it the first time she went in, not 10 days later when she was almost dying. When you have kidney stones the pain might be similar to what you'd have if you have UTI.

Well it's obvious that Brazil is a few steps behind modern medicine. You can't miss leukocytes in a standard urine sample, even if you're not specifically looking for an infection. I wonder if the family is going to sue? They must be pissed.

Maybe I missed it, but didn't she just let it go until it was too late?

The moral of the story isn't to live every day like it's your last, it's when you start pissing razor blades, get that shit checked out!
