Jesse,
I don't think you can go wrong with either or, I think they're both great phones.
Personally, I have the Google G1 phone from day 1 and I absolutely LOVE it. The other thing you might want to ask yourself is that do you do a lot of texting? I'm one of those who prefer texting people rather than calling, and the keyboard on the G1 was the selling point for me. I just don't like virtual keyboard. The keyboard on the G1, however, is kinda hard to see during the daytime, you have to tilt it a certain way to see it clearly, but once you get used to it's not that bad since you have most of the buttons memorized.
Regarding some other things that have been pointed out:
The Google G1 does have GPS.
I agree that the Blackberry Storm is a p.o.s, don't get it. I love a blackberry but I'd rather go with the Curve/Bold.
Google G1 does not support flash at this point. I've been waiting a long time but I don't think a concrete date/time has ever been mentioned as to when Adobe will make an Android-based flash program. But when that happens that would be awesome, hello youporn, xtube, etc...

I do agree that the G1 phone isn't as stylish as the iphone. However, if you get the WHITE version. It actually doesn't look that bad. I just went out today and got a white one for my sister. It's been such a popular color that it's been sold out everywhere during Xmas.
Hope that helps.
