Techno/Tech-house please!

Live sets that used to come around every once in a while back in the Spundae days, a la Crystal Method or RITM

Another Sander Kleinenberg set that goes well past 4am! I know that won't happen anytime soon because his contract/residency with Avalon.

Somebody please bring D-Nox and/or Beckers out here!

Not really who I would like to hear so much as what I would like to hear. Get rid of the hip hop and don't have different rooms playing the same genre. Shouldn't have rooms competing for the same crowd. I would like to see the main room trance, upstairs house and the back room techno or maybe some drum n bass. And keep it consistent so people know they can hear what the want when they go to Circus. I'm sure there are a lot of people on TA or some other boards that can help you with the other genres.

None really. I'd rather see focus on remodeling the place first and bringing it into real competition with other 'super' clubs.

I don't know what DJ I would wanna see at Circus. I could never really get into or "feel" the music when I'm at Circus.

spot on Greg. Thats something that Nikita was trying to do. keep the trance heads in the main room. house/techno in the other rooms.

I'll second this. Keep different genres of music apart, that can help you bring larger crowds

It was always weird to hear trance both in the loft and mainstage, it was like when I didn't like the tracks at the mainstage, I wandered around and with some luck, someone else was playing something I liked or could tolerate.

People I'd like to see at Circus

Super 8 & Tab
Above & Beyond
Sean Tyas
Aly & Fila
Airwave
Daniel Kandi
Cosmic Gate
Agnelli & Nelson
Airbase
Menno de Jong
Greg Downey
Stoneface & Terminal (they were AMAZING @ fuzzy festival)

Thrillseekers
Ronski Speed
John O Callaghan
Ferry Corsten
AvB

I think a variation of music would be a good choice. This goes for the locals as well. Tony P and Hendo every week isnt going to cut it. I think they should even consider headliners other then just trance. I find very little difference in all the acts that have been booked even back thru NIKITA and RED's stint. There just isnt that big of a difference between the Thrillseekers, solarstone, Rank 1, JOC. They all play the same shit really...

I think the consistency is actually a good thing and is starting to pay off. Circus has been having a pretty solid turnout lately in the main room. They need to keep this level of quality going. Throw in some Psy, prog and hard trance once in a while for a little variation. But I think the other rooms need headliners too and not just be limited to locals or they will never go anywhere. I'm not saying Sander K in the loft, that would never happen. But you need DJs with pulling power to draw people and create a scene.

I might be biased but Rank 1 doesn't belong in that group. Yes, Piet might play a few fluffy songs here and there like those other guys but in general, his sets are quite different with lots of electro/ish and some hard banging tracks, techy stuff sometimes too. That's why I still like his sets unlike many other trance djs'. Only time I've heard Piet play mostly fluff is when the crowd has no idea who the dj is and they only get excited when they hear trance anthems (happened one time at Tentation in during WMC).

Anyway, I agree with Skizzell. Upgrading Circus should be priority #1. Some djs refuse to play at Circus because of the crappy sound. But also, one of the problems is the fact that Avalon and Giant have exclusive rights to many djs so the selection who Circus can book is somewhat limited. The biggest group of djs available is the trance one obviously.

I hate Avalon. Bring some proper techno and house DJ's to Circus.
