Haha, I remember having this discussion a few days ago (with whom exactly, I seem to have forgotten).
I'll tell you why: it's because the first, second, third time you do something, it's still new, you notice all of the nuances and subtle differences. After the 10th, 20th, 30th, it's gettin' kind of old but there are still moments that stand out. After the first, oh, 100 times, you've already experienced such a wide range of highs and lows that unless something really unusual happened, the details barely even register. All you remember is a vague emotional "yeah it was good" or "meh, dull".
Try to imagine reviewing in detail every single movie you've ever watched or every single time you've had sex. After a while, it's just another party. Unless it's worthy of a top 5 spot, memory retention is pretty weak.
Or maybe I'm just getting old and don't care anymore.

a little bit of A and a little bit of B
I've seen so many DJs and heard so many sets that nothing really stands out as being over the top anymore. Its easier to pick out the negatives about a night now then it use to be....the positives use to wash the negatives away...but now the negatives wash out the positives...I blame getting old for that....stupid kids and their loud music, don't they know they'll go deaf
