linear review, following along with the mix:
a chill opener with the bells all over the place, very pleasant. first mix was a bit speedy, just kinda flew in there for me. it was solid, but no space for an actual transition. yet another chill, almost jazzy, vocal tune. stretched a bit too long, imo, after a few minutes i got bored with the track... the next mix came about 2-3 mins after that. really like the vibe so far. it's so relaxing and groovy, could definitely see myself moving to this kind of shit at a lounge. track #3 was a bump up in energy, a lot more going on, drawing me in. love the percussion in track 4, gives the mix a bit more bounce. very good mix into this too, smooth blend. another hot mix into #5, and a good step up in energy with that horn-synth. more good percussion. the last 15 minutes have been awesome. good use of fx entering #6, another sweet mix, more percussion. you settled into a groove over the past 4 tracks. at the same time i'm afraid i'm going to get bored quickly of all this drumming going on... we'll see where you're headed, judging from the t/l you're going to throw one more from these folks, i pray for variation... it would seem i'm not going to get it. that's fine, just fine. i suppose i'll just munch on some animal crackers while we get through this particular portion. the light travels of piano, or whatever the fuck that was, made it slightly more exciting than previously mentioned. dude, fuck yes! WINK SAVES ALL. gotta love this track. i noticed it slipping, you caught it in time, but don't think i didn't notice. and you know, this track is pretty "percussive" too. but it's just a testament that residual memory and track recognition work. the little notes are full of animal cracker win. or maybe it's just all so well produced, that you can't possibly hate it. completely in love with his whole album... but enough of wink, we're all about bas for the next half hour. there's that diva house with #9, couldn't resist, could you? jk, it totally works with a vocal track right here, and a good energy boost. timewriter fucking dominates, love this track too, the strings are a good element to have right now. great selections at the latter half of this mix, more along the line of what i'm playing these days. completely satisfying deep house.
alright this is where i get fucked up, there's at least 2 tracks left in the mix, and the t/l doesn't follow, are you sure you typed out the whole thing correctly? get back at me.
very good shit tho bassy, appreciate the share.
