Yea the Ecler Nuo 5 also looks really, really nice. One thing I really like about it (which the A&H ones may or may not have) is the bass-off switch that is assigned to each channel. That can be very handy.

There aren't any kill 'switches' but the low end EQ is capable of full cut.

Also, using the filters to take out the low end is another option which i like playing with.

Personally, i would probably go with 42 out of the 62 and the 42...If you have the cash go with the 92.

I love mine, but I'm still paying for the purchase now eeeek..

So would you say the 92 produces better sound quality as well? Or is it simply more feature-rich?

I've used both, and I can't really tell the difference. I can tell the difference between them and other brands though. I own an old Ecler scratch mixer which I think sounds great too, but I don't like the sound much on Pioneers.

I think the main difference between the 62/92 are the added LFOs on the filters, a better cue section, and different fader caps. The 62 is also about an inch taller than the 92.

to be honest, I'd rather get an empath. everyone's so fixed on allen & heath.

Not me, I never wanted an A & H. Rane Can't be beat. At this level between these 2 companies, u won't make a wrong choice with either one. Love my Empath

Empath was actually my second choice mixer after the 62. I really like them a lot, but wanted 6 channels instead of 3.

yeah, but those two extra channels can not be assigned to a filter and the eqs on them only go down -15. And the eqs on the other 4 channels arent even full kills.

there are two seperate filters on the 62 though, but ive never found them that useful. especially considering that the range is only 100Hz-20kHz. where as the range on the 42 starts at 20Hz.

the extra mid on the 62 is cool though.

if i had to choose between the two id go for the 42.
