Veuve Clicquot is my fav of the more affordable brands, and as such my choice 99% of the time, no need to pay more imo.

Taittinger, Laurent Perrier and Bollinger are also nice.

I HATE Moet though, yuck!

i like the idea of champagne more than actual champagne. to be honest it makes me really bloated and i burp all night if i drink it.

but if i buy a bottle of it, i go with veuve. and i think the dryer it is, the sweeter right?

really? this old guy at the liquor store once told me that with champagne, it's like the opposite with regular wine. dry/brut is usually sweeter. fuckin liar lol

Yeah, fucking liar. What gives champagne and other sparkling white wines its sweetness is the added sugar after the first fermentation process. Extra-Brut and Brut have very little sugar added while Sec and Demi-Sec have more.
