1. make sure the TOP of your computer screen is around eye level. you should always be looking downward at your monitor.
2. buy a better chair.
3. if your desk has a keyboard tray, sell it and buy a bigger desk that allows you to rest your arms on the table-top. this forces you to sit upright, whereas you hunch your back if you have a keyboard tray. keyboard trays are very bad for your back... despite the fact that they are marketed for improved ergonomics lol.

So true, and if you have legs as big as mine the runners on the kbd tray will shred your knees.

the screen height is about keeping your body line straight. You can look up but don't use your neck. That is what causes most neck problems.

Well, I am a registered nurse so I can give you a bit of advice but it's not rocket science.
not sure if you exercise, and it sounds silly to exercise for producing, but exercising will help a ton. it is the most commonly *recommended* and *effective* treatment even in today's society.
You obviously need a good chair as others have mentioned. Find a store where you can sit in them and check them out. The more cushion the better, and you want something that adjusts up and down so you can look down on the screen, and then drop the chair down and angle your head up.
What I find very helpful is I use two computers for production. They each serve different purposes and that would be something you would have to decide and adapt to but I have what I call my "bed top" where I do most of my task work like answering emails, etc. I also bring my controller to the bed and will do some sound engineering with my soft synths, etc.
Hope this helps

Take small breaks regularly. It's not only good for your neck/back/whatever is hurting but your ears as well.
ive never had it but i find my back can get weird if i sit for too long..
try stretching.
dont EVER roll your neck 360 deg.
put pressure on your head forward push your palm against your head and push your head slowly forward with really LIGHT pressure do this for 10 secs or more. do left right front and back.
we used to do this for football and it worked a treat
