I'm quite unorthodox when it comes to that.
You see, I'm quite aware of the fact that some prejudice may be good. For example, if I see someone having a seizure, it's good to have some background information and come to the conclusion that seizures are not good - and, therefore, I should do something to help the poor sap. It's also nice to look at a poisonous mushroom and be aware of the fact that it can kill me.
But, I'm really wary of embracing any kind of prejudice as there's trace of infallibility in the way we build stereotypes. I don't see how stereotyping/having prejudices is any more reliable than any other kind of inductive reasoning... and, while it can be applied to the natural world without any major problem, I find it difficult to extend that to humans in general.
Edit: I mentioned "prejudice" rather than "racism" because gays are not a race. As a matter of fact, I don't get why "Jews" are considered to be a race either, but, I've also been hanging around with supposed Asians for quite a while, and even came to make fun of that because I still haven't found out what's so strikingly different about them.
