It was the best thing ever in grade 10.


I also owned a 64MB Samsung YEPP, one of the first ones they made. Suffice it to say, I learned my lesson about early adoption. Mostly.

I got the R90. My useless piece of crap MD is hotter than your useless piece of crap MD, lol.

I think that was also around grade 10 for me. I guess, let's be fair, the new wave of MP3 players weren't out yet, the newest shiniest shit was like 16 MB flash memory which you could fit oh, a whole 3 songs on, more if they were encoded at the worst ear-bleeding shit bitrates. So it was either an MD or a big bulky Discman and the MDs were just slicker.

Not that I'm trying to justify my enormous waste of money, but there was at least some logic to the purchase.

I remember my dad listening to reel to reel audio. That was the same time we had 8 track, which was also the time there was quadraphonic. Now that didn't do to well until one day years later surround sound was "re-invented". I don't want to get into my mom owning 78 rpm records about as thick as steel... but more fragile.
