No one complained when we decided to hand the banks 400 billion dollars, while the execs get thousand dollar bonuses and compensation packages, and when we decided we needed to go start a 500 billion dollar war to find non existant weapons of mass destruction. |
Nobody complained? I sure did! All three of these "stimulus" bills have been an absolute joke.

Let's go over this again.
In addition, an incredible amount of the money in the bill will help states like California and countless others facing huge budget shortfalls because of the economic downturn keep key social services programs, and cut less in education and other areas.
This is a massive infusion of money into projects all accross the United States. Sitting on our ass while the economy goes to shit and just giving more money to banks is not going to cut it, and thankfully the president and the administration understands this. |
Social sevvice programs? you mean like giving $500 tax refunds to those that have $0 tax liablilty and thus dont pay tax?
Recessions historically last approx 18 months, so following history it would be over by years end anyway. Even Obama has no idea if this will work. They are just doing SOMETHING for the sake of doing Somthing. Ever think you can actually make it worse?

Do a little more research and you'll see that the 'stimulus' plan is to stimulate the economy by creating more jobs.
TARP is for banks and unfreezing the credit market. |
I am aware of the difference, but they are both be mentioned here
