Well, the way it is going now, Napster will become a music-sharing programma that only allows downloads of songs that are not copyrighted. So when I search for a trance-song that contain's a word which is also in the title of a pop song, these shitty pop-tracks won't appear in the 'found-list.' Honestly, right now Napster is heading towards the right direction for us TrancEaddicts.

On the other hand: Once napster will start charging people for music-sharing through their servers, things will be legalized again. Guess I'll search for some alternative then.

I play mp3s cut to cd in clubs and you cant tell the diference in the majority of cases, even with bitrates down to 128k.

It's right that we are taking from the hand that feeds us. If muso's dont get 'some' money for what they do, they won't be able to do it for much longer. As for the major labels...they can stick there major artists up their arse..most of them are only good because they've had 20million spent on them!! Exceptions to name but one, Eric Clapton..guitar god.

most clubs have innacurate systems...a good system in a club costs megadollars and accurate and loud one is found probably only in europe...even so the club atmosphere is noisy so it doesn't matter...

i hate to differ but if you are in it for the love of your music and you decided to make it your carrer you do care about the money because thats how you pay your bills. hence why i doubt pvd or tiesto or any other producer/dj makes their music for free and goes and plays these live events for free just because they love the music.now i'm gonna get off my high horse and go download some songs off napster

My main reason for not buying any CD here is because almost all of the electronica around here is imported & cost about 2 times as much as a regular priced CD (around $13). I'm not going to spend over $20 on a CD that might not even be that good. If the price would drop down to like $10-$15 then maybe I'd consider buying a CD every once and awhile.

You only loose information that a human can't hear.
Maybe dogs would complain....

Read the PVD interview

He's strongly against ppl downloading his muzik over the net. I understand what ur sayin, live sets aren't in stores. I actually prefer live sets but I went out & bought Out There & Back, Summer breeze. It doesn't make sense u'll pay $20-$40 to see ur fav DJ's but won't pay $20 for 2 cds?
