Ayn Rand sucks btw stupid moral relativists :P

So should I assume you believe in absolute beyond one's own reason then?

BTW, when I wrote that I was like 50 pgs. in and reall had no idea what her ideas were (actually I did because in the version I have ther's a spoiler on her beliefs) but I didn't understand them per se. Now, about 1/3rd in (took a 11 day sabbatical during vacation)
I find that I don't totally agree with all of her ideas but I agree with a great many of them but then again I always have, I just could never find any ways to define them.

Good read in my opinion

I believe in in what Emannuel Kant refers to as "categorical imperatives". Universal moralities so forth. Moral Relativism is a pretty weakly structured philosophy. Doesnt hold up.

george RR martin nullifies the whole point of fantasy. You are supposed to get involved with the characters. He kills them all off, it all gets destroyed time and time again. Fantasy is supposed to create a world not destroy it My take though, lots of people like him. I just get too depressed.

Oddly enough I plan on reading "The Critique of Pure Reason" as soon as I finish "Atlas Shrugged"

I read Dutch books, so nothing that interests you I guess.

I'm beginning in American Psycho soon. A friend of mine advised me to read it (yeah, the book where that movie is from too)

Greetz.
