Track Selection

Some really nice tracks here mate, my favorite part was the beginning of the set but that's just personal taste. Apart from Noodling and City of Lost Souls, I hadn't heard anything before

Mixing

Solid mixing overall, although the transition into 'City of Lost Souls' was a bit off. It was beatmatched and phrased properly, but the EQing was a bit off. You can notice a sudden increase in the low frequencies when you fade the outgoing track.

I also noticed that you like to use FX a lot. I'm not a big fan of using FX because they tend to be too distracting, but if they are used subtly they can work. Again, this is just personal taste

Apart from those issues I pointed your mixing was solid overall and creative at some points, like the transition out from Noodling (I'll comment on that one later).

Programming and Flow

I partially agree with what kadomony said. You managed to maintain a very steady groove throughout the set, but I thought you kinda were all over regarding the flow. The first four tracks worked very, very well together but then there is a very sudden change after Noodling. Although your mixing here was very creative, like I pointed out above, it kinda disrupts the mood you were slowly building with the previous 4 tracks. From here on, I'd say it flowed pretty well with a few ups and downs but you could have inserted a good 3 or 4 tracks after Noodling before shifting gears in such a dramatic way. However, I get the feeling that it could have worked very, very well in a club.

Overall it was a good, varied set, I enjoyed it.

How long have you been mixing for, mate?

^ Hey woscar thnx for the detailed review. I'm glad u enjoyed the mix and it's re-assuring to know that listeners notice the subtle details in the music. As well, i like to hear constructive criticism, but often people avoid it in these threads?

Like you said it is a varied set and i know there are definitely some twists in the plot, but i believe in crossing the sub genres together to form a unique mix. This mix i was spontaneously experimenting with FX, so there may have been a bit too much at times -you are right, but i do try to take risks to "liven" the music up. Btw, i have been mixing for 10 years this month.
