But releases under Michael Cassette are good. Very nice trippy melodic proggers/trancers with a sweet 80s synth-pop feel.

Slow bassline, '80s feel... It's 'Sasha-esque'

However, this tune does not deliver.

I bought Soldiers of Karkadu a while ago.

It sucks. Probably won't ever play it again.

These kinds of tracks have 0 longevity.

Why do you feel they don't have any longevity? The same can be said for a lot of music doing the rounds right now.

Because they lose any value they had after you hear them twice. There's just nothing special there.

I try not to buy that kind of music...

First you define longevity. Because I think you're thinking of a different kind of longevity than me.

What I mean is, will the tune still be fun to play at a later date, will it still sound fresh and interesting as years go by.

Jesus christ dude. What exactly is it that I would need to do for you to understand that those two words are not the sum of my music taste? Do you want a laundry list of examples of music I like? Is any of this glitchy minimal/techno? (all recent beatport purchases)

Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts - Strange Place Of Mind [Raum...Musik]
Oasis - Oasis Nine [FXHE]
The Mole - There's Hope [Internasjonal]
Till Von Sein - Hive [Morris Audio]
Free Blood - Never Hear Surf Music Again (Barfly Remix) [DFA]
Polar Lights - Silver Hord [Multi Vitamins]
Chris Carrier - Living Here [Robsoul]
Rockford Inc. - Mina's Theme [Funkhaus Music]
Chelonis R. Jones - Rehabilitation (Markus Fix Remix) [Systematic]
Frank Roger - Don't Leave Me [Earthrumental]
Kreon - Drum My Scene [Robsoul]
Sensitiva - Viola Tricolor (Secretsundaze Remix) [secretsundaze]
X-District, Jimmy Edgar - Color Correction (LoSoul's Land of 1000 Dubs Mix) [playhouse]
Robert Dietz - The Sorrow [Deep Vibes]
Marlow - Exposed (Five Four Three Version) [moon harbour]
Lee Curtiss - And Counting [Wolf + Lamb]

You're not gonna listen to any of these anyway, but PETRAN can use the list, I consider these to all have some kind of longevity beyond playing them out once or twice...

haha, i only played those out once and haven't played them since.

/ass

'longevity' is going to be a really hard argument to win no matter what side of the fence you're on here.

I don't know why it's an argument because it boils down to personal preference.

As for the LoSoul tune, it was more an example of "glitchy minimal/techno" for Nostalgic.
