lol I think it's a thing with a lot of people, regardless of sex, in gyms
every Monday, my gym is much busier, I guess there are more classes and whanot, so the the changing rooms are super packed - some ladies honestly have no shame lol they walk to and from the shower room, naked, stand in fron of mirrors (naked!), doing their hair and doing face masks, as if they are in the own bathroom at home!
what happened with at least putting a pair of underwear on? and don't get me started on how some of them never saw a razor or a wax strip in their life, ew! |
LOL...omg i haven't had to deal with naked middle aged/old people in change rooms for years, but thank u all for bringing all those suppressed memories back! When i was younger, i took swimming lessons at the YMCA in Sarnia, and i hated that there were woman that pranced around naked, and showered naked etc. It made me SO UNCOMFORTABLE! i mean, good for u for being that comfortable with yourself that u can be naked in front of complete strangers, but complete strangers (ME), don't really want to be forced to have to avoid looking in your direction. And i agree Kristina, it was always the women that NEVER SHAVED....EVER, that felt the need to do this. The worst was when they actually TALKED to u. AWKWARD. ugh, i'm shuddering over here just remembering it all.

wow, some uptight people in this thread. I used to be the 'shower with my gym shorts' on kinda-guy, but that entirely came down to body-image/comfort issues which I got over.
Is it really that scarring to see another naked person in a room of which was meant for people to get naked in?

i just think that they're called "private parts" for a reason. I totally agree there is a period iwhen u are changing into your underwear, and then into your clothes in which u need to be naked, or have only a towel covering u. But being naked for an extended amount of time is unnecessary in my eyes. I think it is a respect thing...it really does make some people uncomfortable... whereas covering yourself with a towel, or a bathing suit, or walking around in your underwear even makes NOBODY uncomfortable! |
Unless they have massive skid-stains on their underwear, in which case I'd rather see their bare freshly-washed ass instead.

However, one thing that is gross : Hoking / Blowing your nose in the shower.
Things like public-nakedness - whatever. But snotting all over the shower is NASTY. One day I was getting changed, and this guy was having a long shower (the entire time it took me to shower / change he was still in the shower), and every few seconds you'd hear a hork / spit that'd echo through the entire change room, it was disgusting.
