There is no both. 2 completely different genres and cultures.

Let alone 2 vastly different production styles.

Geez, even for production I'd say pick up 2 1200s and a numark and go crate digging, for hiphop. That sampler stuff can come later.

Trance Production? On a sampler? Yeah it "could" be done...but your learning curve vs. a production system like Logic, which is probably better to learn for production in general (and you can make teh hiphops with it) is the better way to go. I will personally guarantee that any "Trance" track made on a sampler will be poo.
