"I think the scientific and the artistic spirit have something in common. The scientist wants not only to learn the facts, but to understand how they cohere, fit together and make a whole. He even uses criteria such as beauty and symmetry to help decide which theory he wants.

The scientist cannot capture the whole cosmos in thought. In his mind he makes a kind of microcosm, which we see as an analogue of the cosmos. In this way we try to get a feeling for the whole. The artist, I suppose, gets a feeling for the whole some other way.”

Seen both him by himself and with british murder boys as well. An experience is one way of describing it.

From the set description:

This set was recorded at Room 237's night at Wire, a small basement club in Leeds on 13/2/09. The sound was just right for the space, loud and punchy, with strong bass where you needed it.

This is the first set I've recorded using a new technique which combines the direct recording with a binaural microphone recording to give a much better sense of the sound as it was when I played this set.

I think it certainly succeeds brilliantly in tha regard, and makes it much more fun to listen to.

It really does inject a greater sense of authenticity to its 'live set' status, and the atmosphere it creates gives it a significant advantage over most other live sets.

sometimes it sounds like this guy was involved:

then again, the overall recording is pretty rough so a listener cant really take advantage of the subtleties
