Thanks a ton sushi.

Thanks for the detailed review Oscar, I was being pretty critical of myself but when I listen to my own stuff all I hear is the mistakes. I was mainly upset with my EQing work, it was just sloppy. I need to stop recording while I'm stoned, I tend to get impatient and lazy and it shows.

Yeah, I really think you are just being overly critical on yourself. I don't think it flowed as well as Dog Days., but overall this was a pretty solid mix with some good tracks.

None of the transitions were that bad, save for the couple times you cut out of a nice blend too early as Oscar pointed out. You had a nice groove going towards the end and kinda stopped it short, but you picked it back up rather quickly. The EQing was a little off at times, but thats something I have been working on myself.

You seem to recognize where your mistakes were, and I think you're on the right track.

Sorry Oscar, but definitely not. It may be that you don't listen to techno that often but I know and I'm pretty sure enydo also knows that most of these tracks are definitely not the undergrounds of the bunch and have been played to death lately. I could tell by just looking at the tracklist.

I will check it out however, Dog Days was very decent.

Valid point...however, I never said the tracks were 'the undergrounds of the bunch', I only said I like the nice balance between house and techno that they offer. They don't need to for me to know that I like them.

I'm surprised to read such a comment from you, specially since you've been a champion of 'good music' regardless of release date and exposure lately.

Thanks for taking a listen I suppose.

Haha I simply misunderstood you so I had to be an asshole and attempt to correct.

This made me sad then really happy. Did I tell you I love you today, sunshine?

I'm still all for "good music is good music", but I also appreciate extensive digging and when I see a tl that looks a lot like one from 70% of the big jocks it turns me off a bit. I like freshness not in a sense of release date (and let me make it carved in stone that I think release date is the most irrelevant thing when measuring the quality of a track), but in a sense of idea and concept. As for exposure I'm not sure I've ever stated I enjoyed listening to stuff that's been hammered to death over something I've never heard. If I did then I guess I don't feel that way anymore, although it isn't that big of a deal.

You're right, I don't really have the time / money right now to dig extensively.

However, I had no idea big jocks were "caning" all this stuff so extensively, to be honest I don't really follow TL's unless someone just happens to post a set I think looks interesting. I heard Konrad Black play Ben Klock - Subzero last week, but that's about it. I realize some of these tracks are a bit old, and a bit played out, but I like them, I wanted to mix them, so I did.

When I get on Beatport and dig I just go around and listen to random things, follow "user's also bought", and dig through label / artist catalogs. I just pick music I like, and I don't pick it for any other reason other than that.

I never accused you of doing that. It's admirable that you do what you like and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that being that you are a dj. I was simply stating my opinion, because I am a cunt and I like to make my voice heard, you don't owe me any explanation.

Also I never said I don't enjoy listening to overplayed stuff, period. Good music is good music. The only thing is that in my head it loses that touch that something equally good but a bit more underrated or completely unheard has.

Ah, well yeah I can understand that. I just felt like defending myself because it seemed like a bit of an attack, even if you didn't mean it that way.
