Sounds like a typical night at any super club. As I got older my tolerance for overcrowded, poorly ventilated, expensive, and rude clubs has become nonexistent. Expect the same to happen in Club Space in Miami or anywhere. It's not a NYC thing. I guess people need to be fucked up to put up with that crap. Tbh, the NYC club scene died when Twilo became Spirit, Limelight became Avalon, and Sound Factory became Pacha in the early 2000s. |
i'm on the same boat. i only go out to events 2-4 times a year the past couple years because of that. i never did like eleven50 nor do i like opera (although the setup is a little better now). it didn't use to be like this until our little "scene" became miscible with the club scene and you began having to deal with problems like those discussed in this thread. you have your crowd who's there just to be out or meet someone, then you have the people who are really there for the music/experience. too many type "A" people the past several years so now i'll only go out if it's really worth while, ie: i'll deal with opera to see RITM live. either that or i'm just a lame ass now, which could very well be the case
