Not following you. There are absolutely zero loops in the track. The drums were sequenced by me using one-shots and Sonar's step sequencer.

No offesne, but you need to have your ears checked and learn something about rhythm. I just took a listen to those loops and:

(1) they aren't even close to the same sounds that I used,
(2) the rhythm patterns are completely different than what I sequenced, and
(3) the balance of the drums is not even close.

Loop 054 is a 4/floor pattern - my song doesn't have a 4/floor pattern in the kick at ANY point in the song. I also don't have an off-beat open hi-hat at any point in the song - both of those loops do.

Do I need to post a screen shot of my drums or clip of my drum patterns to prove what an idiot you are, or would you prefer to just admit that you're wrong?

Look, it was the first thing i was thinking when i hear the first second of the song.
Maybe im wrong but that was what i heard, and i still think its in there somewhere in one of the packs.
Its funny how offended you were about this.
No point in proving it, i take ur word for it, but the sound is still familiar.

So, you're calling me a liar? WTF? Just because you can't figure out how to program your drums doesn't mean we all can't.

You're damn right I'm offended by this and I don't think it's funny at all. I spend a lot of time perfecting my songs and I take a lot of pride in my hard work, and it irritates the shit out of me when some clueless hack accuses me of using someone else's work.

Calm down dude, ever think that u might have made a loop that sounded like another loop? and no i cant program drums, that why i use VEC all the time.

You didn't say it sounded like another loop, you blatantly accused me of using someone else's loop. That's a big difference.

I can understand your irritation, Cryophonik.

Don't worry, I'm sure the regular forum readers take you at your word. I have no reason to doubt you when you say you've programmed the rhythmic elements yourself.

Subtle, it did seem very obvious that you use loops all the time - knowing Vengeance loop numbers off the top of your head, without actually referencing them against Cryophonik's song to find out they're not the same?

I use both loops and my own percussive programming - for me it's not an either/or thing. I definitely don't use loops enough to know the numbers off the top of my head...although, having said that, I definitely know some of the kick samples by name...

Subtle, if you make claims like this, the onus is on you to verify that what you're saying is true - if you still think that Cryophonik used a loop, then you can spend a few pointless hours searching for it in the Vengeance collections before concluding you're wrong.

I stopped using loops some time ago, they suck and just makes it all harder to mix.

But do i need to clear my EARS ????

I know this loop, because I used it in my OWN track a few years ago. Here is the sample.

>>>>> SAMPLE <<<<<<<

If u dont think this sounds exactly the same, im going to quit producing.
Cryophonic, im not calling you a liar here.. but the loop sounds identical and i had the right to say u used VEC loops.

Woah, woah, woah!

In five posts Subtle has made in this thread, he hasn't even come close to accusing anyone of anything, outright. He made a plausibly errant observation about how it "sounded" like cryophonik had used a pre-canned loop, but that was it. Subtle later expanded his explanation to say that the loop sounded like something he heard in cryophonik's production. This is getting way out of proportion, into suggesting that Subtle has somehow made an epic transgression, when it really was just a minor observation, to begin with.

If anything, Subtle may have inadvertently given a compliment, since apparently cryophonik's home-made drums sounded like they came from a production house, specializing in pre-fabricated source material. It's well short of an indictment asking for cryophonik's source material so that Subtle can create a phase analysis in order to prove cryophonic nicked/used a canned loop.

EDIT: Okay, Subtle, prove me wrong.

The loops do sound remarkably similar.

But this argument is much ado about nothing. BT got sued over a loop he created in Reason, himself, by a nefarious producer who argued that his loop, part of a producer pack of loops, was used by him without proper licensing. The case got thrown out of court. There are differences between the two but I can see validity for Subtle's observation.
