at my school, noone listened to rap, especially the white guys, then I started and people called me a wigger. i didn't care, i kept preaching the word of rap.
then people started to like it, so everyone thought that was cool.
then i switched to trance, and was preaching that, so every one of those mudda******s knew by the end of the year I liked Trance and not Techno. and if anyone insulted me, i would make fun of rock and how shitty that is.
that's all. buhbye.

Yep, Eminem is a grade A tit.
All he knows how to do is stir controversy, and the media are playing rights into his hands. I personally haven't found anything in least bit controversial in his work. They go on about how he condones violence against women and homosexuals - and I presume they're talking about "My Name Is" and "Stan" - but for all the shouting and swaering he's done, he still hasn't said anything in the least bit "provoking" in my opinion. Even with this "nobody listens to techno" shite, the only reason to get pissed off at him is because he seems to bask in his own ignorance. The fact that he doesn't actually know what techno is (especially if he's referring to Moby) kinda renders the line a bit pointless to tell you the truth.
And he goes on about "MTV trying to censor me" and all that shit..... bloody hell. He provides them with clips with all the naughty language bleeped out ffs. He obviously fancies himself as slayer of MTV and all these commercial giants, but he's still signed to Sony isn't he? One of the biggest record companies in the world? Oooo, how underground of you Slim.
The fact is, he sold out from the second he rolled into town on Dr. Dre's back. All the melodies in his tracks are so basic and annoyingly crass, pandering perfectly to the tastes of 14 year old girls..... which brings up another point. All his fans are under the age of 20. I can't think of anyone I've ever spoken to or anyone I know over the age of 20 who can take him seriously as an artist (apologies if anyone over that age here does). He's a talentless hack with a chip on his shoulder, who wants nothing more than to make a shit-load of cash (as evidenced by his stance on mp3s) and cause some "controversy".
Why don't you do something really controversial, Slim, rather than just swearing, verbally bashing gays or writing tracks about how fucking controversial you are. Why not tell your record company to fuck off. Why not make some sort of a political statement: let's hear your views on capitalism, American fundamentalism, Marxism and the Hegelian dialect, liberalism, or anything. Instead of whinging about how everyone's out to get you, produce something decent instead of this nasally white-boy shite you try to pass off as "rap". Why not do something really controversial like condoning charity, or third world aid, or anything that hasn't already been done to death? Instead of taking asprin on stage and telling everyone you've just taken ecstacy, why not do the really controversial thing launch an anti-drug campaign? He couldn't. All he's got is his bad-boy image, and nothing else. If he stops writing songs with a controversial undertone he knows that he's going to get lost in the sea of talentless nobodies: which is why he's trying so hard to get his face on the cover of teen magazines, where he then goes on about how absolutely hardcore he is.
For gods sake, Slim, do something with your fame. This shit is getting old.
