I'm cdn and my mother is american......i have dual citizenship with canada and the united states. I hold an automatic green card to the usa. So am i really a cdn?.....then again...over here, we think most americans are arrogant.

Well tta best bit of advice mate, is to think before you speak, like theres messing around with mates, and theres people who will take what you say seriously. Best thing to do is up the way you speak to people in general, like be polite, and try your best to get on with them. Speaking to people in a good way in general will improve how you talk to people you care about.

The happy smilies are just a difficult habit to break.....i've done it for yrs....on other boards.

I used to have the exact same problem. Everyone always told me to think before i said anything. However You only swear when your angry, and at those times your either not thinking at all or not in a logical manner. For me the best way to avoid having my mouth get me in trouble was to calm myself down, or even walk away for a second let the anger out so I can think strait and then address the problem at hand.
