If you really need a mac you would find out during class why it is you need one as you're using a mac right there. If that doesn't make it a clear decision there is no use in choosing a mac over pc.

The MOTU driver thing (if it is true, which I don't know) about being better on macs is not an argument to get a mac, it's a an argument not to get a MOTU as drivers should be functioning equally well on all supported platforms. That's my personal opinion though and I am quite certain many would disagree.

You could just build a pro's/con's list for the mac and see if the pro's YOU experienced or think the mac has outweigh the con's then you should seriously consider getting one. Pro's and con's others add don't count as the consideration should be made from your perspective and not someone elses.

Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

The only clear argument to pick one system over the other would be would be workflow and user experience. Unfortunately that's not the same for everyone .

I think it is the "MAC are more stable than PC" thing that was back in the days that still haunts us.
While it were true then, it is not as true now.
And with Windows 7 seemingly being everything Vista was not, i think PC has a very bright future.

Are you actually seriously recommending someone a platform he doesn't like using while he had hands on experience with it (because it is to clicky as Sonic_c said)? Even when he implies he won't even benefit from having it? That's retarded, indeed.

it has two buttons, however, you go to system preferences and go to mouse settings, and then configure your mouse to have it's left button and right button active like on an XP system

you can even switch them around, make them do different things, hell you can even turn them off. the mouse just looks like it has one button. honestly though, i hate the mighty mouse, this is my third one, the wheel is fucking shit, as soon as it gets dirty and the little magnetic rollies inside get messed up, it's endless hours of smacking the shit out of it and throwing it at your wall
