I'd like to think I'm at the point where I influence myself these days, but way back when it was "The Wizard" a.k.a. Jeff Mills and Fumiya Tanaka, then Claude Young. I listened to Mills' and Tanaka's Mix-Up CDs over and over, trying to decipher the three-deck insanity that was going on (some parts of those mixes still blow me away) and work that same kind of intensity into my own sets. I then had the pleasure of hearing Claude Young, who took DJing and turntablism to a whole new level - the man was a master of improvisation.
Plenty of other names I could name - Murat, Theo Parrish, Traxx, Ben Sims, Marco Carola (before he went all soft and mnml) are a few who come to mind - in all likelyhood, I probably learn a little something from every DJ who catches my attention.
