Levels is...decent...damn better than a lot of the shite dominating the charts at the moment. It sounds absolutely nothing like...a billion and one similar tracks in this big-room style. I always had a soft spot.

Personally I haven't actually been practising that much these days, what keeps me going though and really enjoying it is playing to a crowd. Even if it's only 7 or 8 people. Nearly ever weekend we go out we end up coming back to my place, I have a garage beside our house that is quite insulated and has a bit of distance between any neighbouring house so we can pretty much blare it as loud as we want.
Every now and again we'll get 20+ people up there and the place goes off.
That always gets me interested in it again.

I'm in massive agreement that Ableton sucks the joy out of DJing. I started on vinyl, moved to CDJs when they became affordable, and then bought a laptop and Ableton a year ago.
The laptop didn't even last a year; I ended up selling it because DJing with Ableton just isn't fun.

That's complete bullshit that ableton just isn't fun.
Each to their own but I actually enjoy using ableton and not having to beatmatch tracks anymore. Sure it may take a little prep time but it works for me.
