This has just reminded me I really want to do some research into ways of protecting the home.

I reckon there must be some really clever, cheap and easy ways to detter people - just needs some thought.

Because guns are illegal in the UK I have to make do with the thick end of a pool cue and can of deodorant by the door! I'm also gonna get a crossbow since they were legal last time I checked.

It's sad but I also would kinda like to be robbed because I love the idea of fighting off a burglar spraying deodorant in his eye and beating the shit out of him with my pool cue.

Reading 2600 freaked me out a bit when I read about how to make a bump key. If you know your locks you really have some powerful knowledge.

A tangent, but interesting topic sucked me in.

Lock picking is not very hard once you learn how they work

Go to the store, but a door lock, saw it down the center and observe how it functions when you put the key in. Then its just a matter of trial and error for that type of lock.
