i collect cd's as most of you know, got a huge colelction. i have a question for all you vinyl peeps. ill keep my cd's forever, even when the mediums change to the ancestors of mp3 or wathever. i wnat to be able to listen to my trance music when it no longer is being produced or whatever. in 30 yrs time, if youve played your vinyls endlessly theyll sound so crackly, jumpy, maybe even unaudable completely.

so, do you guys ever buy your choonz on cd to, of the tracks you love the most.

by the way, check out "Super Audio CD's", there the best medium for clarity and frequencies availible, but expensive. check out sony's catalogue / webby for more info etc

You're right! If it wasn't for DJing, vinyl wouldn't have lasted IMO, and would definitely would never be bought by moi
That's why I'm about to make massive backup and copy each and every track I have on vinyl to CD.

I personally think on my stereo system, Vinyl sounds way better, Deeper cleaner bass compared to cd's. You have to have a good ear to catch things like that, But I dont know, Thats just how I feel, I dont mean to bash cd's or anything, But if I had a vinyl player in my car, I would definatly rather have that then my cd player

i started out by using pioneer CDJ 700s and i am used to using them but i still wished to use vinyl so about a week ago i got a technic 1200 and a technic 1210. so now ill be able to use my cds and records which is what i think some of you people should invest in.

I personally think vinyll sounds richer and clearer.

and let's all keep this in mind. a majority of the mixes and songs we love never make it past vinyll. Noone releases exlusively on CD.. they release exlusively on vinyll.

this may change some day, but i hope not.

Why do you HOPE not? They way it is sucks... Nothing should be limited edition and nothing should be only on vinyl. Who benefits from that? Only the people that want to force DJing to stick only with vinyls. Pesonally I think the ultimate is using both.

dj for a while, get a good ear for music.

then buy a song on CD and on record. play them next one after another and tell me you want the medium to change to CD =)
