The plan for this TV (it being my first HDTV since the last couple places I've lived my roommmate(s) have already had swank ones so i didn't need to worry about it.) is to use it in the living room for now and then once I have a solid job again and can get a nice one, get the LCD that I want with the features I want. And put what I buy now in the bedroom.
As HDTV clarity is increasing at a rapid rate and response time decreases (as a guy who works in video production and worked on 100% HD material between early 2005 upto when I was laid off a few months ago, I notice quality differencees very easily between HDTV), I don't plan on any HDTV I buy at this time to be considered a longterm investment. And no HDTV you buy at this time will be worth anything in a few years. Look at HDTV prices a few years ago and how much they are worth now. |
Then you should get one off craigslist that is still under some sort of warranty for $400-$500 Cash, if its only shorterm.
