Not being rude but this was exactly the issue I was discussing with you on that other thread a couple of days ago about why i think that DJM400's are total crap. $400 and you don;t get more than one controllable line out.

You can change the trim input on the truths but it's not really the right way to go about it and and a pain in ass if you need to change it often. It will also distort if you jack it right up because the amps will be clipping.

The solution is this: (available at GC - link below).

Thanks for that. That's a perfect option.

And don't get me wrong, I hear what you're saying. The recording/volume problem is definitely an issue, but here, I'm mainly just talking speaker volume out, which would still be an issue even if I had another master out.

But thanks for the link though.

Hang on, not sure I understand. You're saying you've got you're gains right and the master volume knob is jacked up all the way and you still need more?

The 2 x master outputs controlled simultaneously by the one master knob.

Usually, to get a decent level going to the second output(such as a recoding device or PC) the output is too loud at the powered monitors so most people add that passive volume knob I posted. This lets them send the full line level signal to the PC and control the volum at the speakers as powered monitors don;t have a volume control.

Behringers fed a normal line level input are damn loud, so If you're saying they aren't loud enough, then something is wrong with your setup or you're trying to use them as PA speakers, which they're not.

It's more an issue of not enough headroom on the mixer itself. I don't turn the master all the way up because then its just redlining, yet I still want a louder sound from the monitors. But the trim on the backs of the speakers are doing the job. I can keep my mixer in the yellow and still be loud. That's all.

Edit: And no I'm not talking PA-loud. i've got my Eon 15s for that. I just wanted the monitors a bit louder without clipping the mixer is all.

I'd love another Eon, I've only got a wee 10 inch one but would love a 15. They're sooooo expensive though!

Yeah, there was an insane sale at Guitar Center here in the States during the last holiday season where they were selling 1st gen Eon 15s for 250 bucks! That's cheaper than the 10 in Behrenger Eurolives I was looking at at the time. I should've bought more and resold them online.
