A lot of darkpsy can be really fast, pointless garbage like this:

Other darkpsy tracks can be slower, but still not the style I was looking for in this mix. This track may not have been too out of place toward the end, but not exactly my favorite style to mix:

The type of music available in Yin could probably be generalized as dark full-on, or night full-on, but best described as dark psytrance. |
That wasn't the best track, although certainly reasonably listenable after the 1 minute mark (despite being inacessable)
Decent fast (170bpm is this case) darkpsy: Furious-Quantize

More regular 150ish bpm (I can't quite remember) stuff:

Dark soho isn't really darkpsy either. I mean its psy and its dark... but I guess its too melodic in the traditional sense, doesn't use fx in the darkpsy way and its a lot more psy tekk imo. Doesn't qualify as darkpsy, similar to say Infected mushroom-The gathering or The Delta sortof stuff. Idk how to explain, I mean darkpsy covers a whole range of stuff, but I don't really think thats hard enough.
Dark full on is stuff like dark nebula, and azax syndrome i.e. stuff thats a cross between darkpsy and full on, not full on in a dark mood, like some XI, although obv the second mix crosses both.

Exactly. From track 1-5 in Yin is nothing but full on artists with some of their darkest tracks, referring more to the atmosphere the track creates and the type of sounds used. Tracks 6-12 are all dark full on artists like Azak Syndrome, Broken Toy, etc. Those guys don't produce much regular full on, but tend to produce darker, more psychedelic tracks that are crossed with full on like Darkarbiter pointed out.
Honestly, if I were to mix another dark set (give me like... 4 more months lol... do I smell Return of Taijitu?) it would start with dark full on and progress into darkpsy and create the mosted twisted atmosphere possible.
Darkarbiter, I'd be really interested in hearing what you think of Yin. Hope everything bangs like it should, let me know what you think!
