Digital downloads are much cheaper, which is the point. Plus you don't have to deal with the physical disc you're never going to use but don't feel like throwing away.

For instance, the Howells Renaissance Mixed Collection is 20.99 for the physical copy on Amazon. It's 11.99 for the iTunes digital download as described above (which comes with all the tracks unmixed as well as the two disc-length mixed tracks).

So it makes sense to buy digital, I just wish someone would offer it pre-split to save the trouble of looking for a cuesheet.

How about just buy the cheapest, shittyest copy legally, and torrent the highest quality. You own a copy, so therefore you can download it a million times and it is still legal. Problem solved!

I hate the kbps quality of itunes and getting around the drm. I bought one cd from them in the past and will never again. I just buy the cds because I mostly use my cd player on my stereo and cd player in my car...omg im so old.
