don't listen to IGK if they fired you, you're good for unemployment. then again they could contest that you willingly left (when they gave you that ultimatum) therefore causing a shitstorm for yourself and the unemployment division

I am not starting right away, I haven't registered for classes yet, or even looked. I need to look into summer semester. There are some credits I need to pick up before I can really advance to anything useful.
If I don't get unemployment its not a huge deal, but I don't want to put a burden on my family if I can.

LOL If they contest they can look forward to a lengthy battle that they most likely can not afford. The company was in dire straights. Most everyone I've talked to give it less than a year to go. I hadn't done billable work, nor had most of my coworkers for at least the last month.
